Skiing in Val Gardena

Val Gardena and the entire Dolomite area are famous for their beautiful, long ski slopes. A day on the world-famous Sellaronda, which leads over 4 mountain passes and past 5 characteristic villages, is truly unforgettable. But all the ski areas around Laion offer ideal conditions and promise memorable winter days.

Winter hiking in South Tyrol

Even in winter, Val Gardena is a paradise for walkers. With or without snowshoes, explore the enchanting winter trails in the valley or on the Alpe di Siusi. The snow-covered landscape invites you to relax, enjoy, and find your inner balance.

Hiking in the Dolomites

The impressive Dolomite massif is not far from San Pietro Dolomiti. Here you’ll find a wide variety of hiking and walking opportunities. Head up to the famous Seceda, around the Sassopiatto and Sassolungo massif, or along one of the many scenic trails and footpaths. Cycling tours around Laion

Cycle up to an alpine pasture, through the forest, along forest tracks, mountain passes or cycle paths. Ride up to the Passo Gardena or enjoy an easy route through the Valle Isarco to Bressanone or Bolzano. This is what makes a South Tyrolean holiday so special!

Useful information for your holiday in San Pietro/St. Peter in Val Gardena
For cancellations made up to 14 days before arrival, the deposit remains with the accommodation.
In the case of later cancellations, the full amount will be charged.
You can pay the hotel bill and/or deposit (30%) by bank transfer. Either via PayPal (San Pietro Dolomiti Small Budget Hotel) or by money order to our bank account.
On the day of arrival, your room will be available from 3 p.m.
On the day of departure, we kindly ask you to vacate the room by 9:30 a.m.
Pets are not allowed in our accommodation.
We accommodate children from 6 years of age. Our facilities are not equipped for younger children.
Dining options can be found in the village of San Pietro/St. Peter, in nearby Laion, or in Ortisei and the other villages of Val Gardena.
During your stay, you will have access to:
  • A fridge and a kettle with tea and coffee in your room. (There is no fridge in DB room Budget)
  • WLAN unlimited
  • Parking space in front of the house
  • South Tyrol Guest Pass
There is a bus stop with connections to Val Gardena and the rest of South Tyrol just 100 m from Hotel San Pietro.
